From the President
My Fellow DFW Wharton Alumni:
You are a member of one of the most exclusive and powerful networks in the world, the 81,000 alumni of The Wharton School. Our alumni carry the Wharton banner throughout the world and in the Metroplex. Did you know, there are over 850 fellow alumni located in the DFW area?
How do we capitalize on our Wharton connection in the DFW market? The opportunity to connect with fellow alums is right here, through the DFW Wharton Club. You will find among your Wharton colleagues a diverse group of professionals from around the world who have landed in the Metroplex for a variety of reasons.
Abundant Opportunity
We enjoy many opportunities to uphold the Wharton tradition of life-long learning. From the ever-popular CEO Forums, to the topical Panel Discussions and Cultural Events, you have turned-out in record numbers to leverage the strength of our alumni network.
Yet, our alumni club is more than just events. It’s all about making contacts, generating business leads, helping fellow alumni in career transition, and serving as mentors to students and each other. Our organization is run by alums for alums. I have been consistently and pleasantly surprised by the relationships that have resulted from my participation.
Are You Connected?
You are welcome to participate without officially joining our membership ranks, just sign-up for event notification only. But as clever Wharton grads, you’ll notice the fast payback and return on investment from becoming a full-fledged member. If you are already a member, we are grateful for your participation in our organization last year. I want to remind you that it’s time to renew your membership.
To become a member select “Membership” on the drop down menu.
Looking Ahead
As we turn the page into 2007, we look forward to another exciting program year for the club. Our Programs team is busy assembling a 2007 schedule you won’t want to miss.
Karen Meador, M.D., M.B.A.
2006-2008 President, The Wharton Club of DFW
