Let us hear you ROR!

“The Reciprocity Ring is a dynamic group exercise that applies the “pay-it-forward” principle to your team or group while creating and cementing high-quality connections.” – Professor Adam Grant

Adam Grant is the Wharton School’s youngest tenured professor, has been recognized as Wharton's top-rated professor, and he is the author of the bestselling book Give and Take: A Revolutionary Approach to Success. Learn more about Adam and his company, Give & Take, which developed the Givitas knowledge sharing platform based on the ROR concept https://giveandtakeinc.com/reciprocity-ring/

Because our Co-Hosts have experienced the power and results a ROR can generate, Aaron and Dare are collaborating to lead a version of ROR via Zoom for Wharton DFW. Aaron first became acquainted with ROR via the popular “Total Leadership” course led by Stew Friedman, an award-winning Wharton professor and best-selling author who founded Wharton’s Leadership Program and its Work/Life Integration Project in 1991. Dare has facilitated RORs for Wharton Denver and Colorado Ivy+ Women organizations.

To give credit where it is due, professor Friedman shared that both he and Adam Grant learned the reciprocity exercise from the master - University of Michigan’s Professor Wayne Baker. He recommends his latest book All You Have to Do Is Ask, and you can gain further insight into ROR by listening to the interview Stew Friedman did with Wayne Baker on his SiriusXM Wharton Business Radio show in January, 2020.

Participants can share specific professional or personal requests, and the group will share their resources, connections and ideas.

The initial ROR will be limited to 15 Wharton DFW members.

*IMPORTANT: Please fill out the ROR helpsheet with your information and request (personal or professional) in 300 characters or less) BEFORE the event. Full name, email, and phone number are required. Please include a character count.

During the Zoom meeting, you will have 2-3 minutes max to add more detail, context, and color to your 300 character help request and participants may ask clarifying questions. Alumni will be able to input their offers of help, resources of connections into the helpsheet during and after the event,
