Join the Wharton Club for an Exclusive, Virtual Lunch for Wharton CFOs!

The WCDFW has launched a series of exclusive lunches, each one focused on a very specific professional function. This is a great way to not only network, but to develop more connected relationships with Wharton peers.

These micro-events are typically in person over lunch, but given current health precautions, we will have a virtual “brown bag” lunch discussion.

The purpose of the micro-lunches is to provide an intimate setting in which our alumni can meet and engage their peer group in a protected, informative, and effective way, and this virtual discussion is capped to 10 attendees

This event is hosted by Cliff Edwards, WG'90, CEO of Thomas Edwards Group, an Executive Search Firm specializing in the direct hire and interim placement of accounting and finance professionals. Prior to starting Thomas Edwards Group, Cliff held various financial roles in banking, accounting and management consulting. He was a Manager in Coopers & Lybrand’s national banking and real estate consulting groups. Before that, he was a commercial real estate lender at a regional savings bank, an accounting manager for a financial institution and a staff auditor in public accounting. He earned a BBA in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma. He also earned an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of Business. Cliff passed the CPA exam in 1985 but is no longer licensed to practice. Cliff is a Board member of the Dallas Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI).

Cliff has arranged for a guest speaker, Stephen Konstans, who is SVP and Financial Officers Practice Leader for Pearson Partners International. Stephen has spent more than 20 years helping companies secure candidates for critical executive roles. He has special expertise in filling high-level finance and accounting positions such as chief financial officer or controller. For this lunch event, Stephen will discuss the local job market, retained search, the North Texas business climate and answer questions.
