Evan Shelan is the creator and founder of eZforex.com, Inc. In 1994 he transformed the foreign currency exchange business from an analogue model to a web-based environment where he developed a business-to-business model of selling foreign currency services over the Internet through financial institution portals. Today supporting 4,000+ financial institutions, eZforex.com has grown into a multi-channel business including: Credit Unions, Corporate Credit Unions banks and banker’s banks.
Evan has delivered lectures throughout the United States to the banking & credit union industry and has written articles for the National Association of Federal Credit Union and Credit Union Times Blog. Shelan has been featured and interviewed by numerous newspapers including the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal.
Evan graduated from University of Texas in Austin with a BA in economics and is an alumnus of The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania. In 2001, he was inducted as a Wharton Fellow for life. This fellowship combines research-based knowledge and hands-on learning to train leaders to develop new ebusiness models and set new, secure directions for his organization utilizing the Internet.
