Cheer on the Rangers as they push for the playoffs!

It looks like the Texas Rangers need a strong and loud fan push at the end of the season, and there are 3 open seats at First State Bank’s Home Field Suite on Sunday, 9/24, for a 1:35p First Pitch versus Seattle.

It’s going to be a tight late-season push for playoffs, with Seattle in the running with Texas for a wildcard spot.  FSB has not only have front-row seats, but the Home Field suites at Globe Life are actually the closest seats to the batter in all of Major League Baseball. You can hear the umpire & catcher talking, and are just 15 feet from the visitor on-deck circle if you would like to try to rattle the opposing batters 😉.

Thanks to Ryan Morris, CEO of First State Bank for this generous and exclusive offer to Wharton DFW members. First come first serve.

BOARDROOM LUNCHES ARE BACK!  After a brief holiday hiatus, the WCDFW is looking to schedule our fifth year of "Boardroom Lunches," a quarterly series of exclusive lunches, each one focused on a very specific professional function.

The purpose of the micro-lunches is to provide an intimate setting for 10-15 attendees in which our alumni can meet and engage their peer group in a protected, informative, and effective way.  Our next executive lunch will be hosted by Orman Anderson, CFO of Glazer's Beer and Beverage. We are finalizing the date for late February, so check our website soon for the registration link and details, and RSVP early since attendance is limited!

To keep the momentum going in 2023, we are looking for an additional 3-4 Wharton alumni Presidents/CEOs/CFOs/CMOs to host one of the next few quarterly meetings.  All that is needed of the host is a provide lunch for the group and have a conference room large enough to hold up to 15 attendees.  The WCDFW will handle website publication and marketing for the event. These lunches are a great way to not only network, but to develop more connected relationships with Wharton peers. Please email [email protected] (WG01) if you are available to host and she can finalize meeting logistics with you.
