Professor Gregory Shea is Coming to Dallas

Gregory Shea is a Senior Fellow, Wharton Center for Leadership and Change Management.  Along with Paul Brown and Andre Kotze, he has just published a fascinating book, “Rising From Ground Zero: 9/11 And The FDNY's Path Through Crisis To Transformation”.  Professor Shea will present an overview of his book, highlight the decade of interviews and investigations with the firefighters and all levels of leadership.  Rising from Ground Zero tells their story of a day that took the lives of 343 FDNY firefighters including 3 of the 5 top leaders and over 90 FDNY officers.  It also tells their story of what came next: prolonged hard time, healing, and a choice not to rebuild a premier, even fabled organization, but to reimagine it.
