Wharton Gives Back to the Community Providing Virtual Mock Interviews
Calling all Wharton alumni and friends to volunteer 1 lunch to help local students land a living wage job.
Wharton Club is partnering with Skill QUEST, a non-profit organization and part of the Community Council of Greater Dallas, whose mission is to elevate adults in Dallas and Collin counties out of low paying jobs into family living wage employment. Skill QUEST assists adults wanting to return to school to obtain technical skills and education that will lead to well paid jobs.
The Wharton Club will be assisting with virtual mock interviews on May 21st over lunch. We are seeking 10 volunteers. Interviewers will be provided with a student's resume and will conduct two interviews, each followed by feedback on how to improve their technique and answers. No need to be an HR professional. Students appreciate any advice provided.
This is a great opportunity to give back to the community! This will be the 3rd year Wharton has partnered with Skill QUEST, and it has been a rewarding relationship!
