Join the Wharton Club for an Exclusive, Small Group Lunch - This One is for Wharton Alumni who are CFOs of Their Organization
The WCDFW has launched a new series of exclusive lunches, each one focused on a very specific professional function. This is a great way to not only network, but to develop more connected relationships with Wharton peers.
These micro-events will be limited to15 alumni within that functional area. Each small lunch will also be sponsored by a company and held in its executive boardroom where the sponsor will share a short overview about the company and topics relevant to the C-suite.
The purpose of the micro-lunches is to provide an intimate setting in which our alumni can meet and engage their peer group in a protected, informative and effective way.
This event is hosted by David F. Smith, CFO at TridentUSA Health Services, and will be dedicated to those Wharton alumni who are CFOs of their organization. The group will determine the topics of interest, and the attendees will break into groups for collaboration and feedback.
David is the Chief Financial Officer of TridentUSA Health Services, the largest provider of bed side diagnostic services in the post-acute market. As a senior finance and operating executive, David has a track record of partnering with management teams to develop and implement value-creating strategies in growth and turnaround situations for large and middle-market companies in healthcare, financial services, technology, and manufacturing industries. David’s professional experiences includes public accounting with Price Waterhouse, management consulting with Bain & Company, private equity with Highland Capital Management, and senior finance and program management roles with DHL Express and Countrywide Financial. Most recently, David was the Chief Executive Officer of Cornerstone Healthcare Group, a leading regional operator of long-term acute care hospitals. David graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Economics and a BBA in Accounting and International Business, and received his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he majored in Marketing and Operations.
