Join the Wharton Club for an Exclusive, Small Group Lunch - This One is for Wharton Alumni who are Presidents or CEOs of Their Organization

The WCDFW has launched a series of exclusive lunches, each one focused on a very specific professional function. This is a great way to not only network, but to develop more connected relationships with Wharton peers.

These micro-events will be limited to up to 15 people within that functional area. Each small lunch will also be sponsored by a company and held in its executive boardroom where the sponsor will share a short overview about the company and any topics relevant to the C-suite.

The purpose of the micro-lunches is to provide an intimate setting in which our alumni can meet and engage their peer group in a protected, informative and effective way.

This event will be sponsored by Jack Hooper, WG'14, CEO at Take Command Health, and will be dedicated to those Wharton alumni who are Presidents or CEOs of their organization. Hooper will kick off the discussion with his experience of entrepreneurship through the insurance services industry, and will lead a lively discussion.

Prior to co-founding Take Command Health, Jack was a strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and an intelligence officer for the FBI and CIA. Jack twice received an innovation award from the Director of the FBI and was awarded for distinguished service overseas by the Director of the CIA. Jack earned his MBA from the Wharton School of Business where he focused on entrepreneurial management and has an engineering degree from Texas A&M University. He’s a proud Aggie, so you can always start there if you need a conversation starter with Jack.

When not being a total nerd about health insurance, Jack can be found with his family or watching college sports. Jack is married to his better half, Brittany, and has three boys and a dog named Moose.

About Take Command Health

Take Command Health is a software platform that helps small employers setup and administer tax-free reimbursement arrangements for health insurance (called QSEHRA). Take Command Health was born when Jack (one of our founders) and his wife Brittany were surprised with a twin pregnancy after quitting their jobs and moving to Philadelphia so Jack could start his MBA at Wharton.

Jack’s personal quest to understand and navigate healthcare costs led him to connect with several professors at Wharton who were working on healthcare transparency projects ahead of the roll-out of the Affordable Care Act. Take Command Health started as a healthcare cost transparency project and quickly spun into a business with help through the Wharton Venture Initiation Program. Take Command Health was a winner of the Wharton Innovation Award, Snider Seed Award, and Woods Seed Award.
